A little about the music teachers:
I am Tammy Folstad and have been a music teacher in PInellas County since 2004, 10 years at Dunedin Elementary and since 2014 at Ozona Elementary. Before coming to Dunedin, I was a K-12 Band and Music Teacher in Minnesota and Wisconsin for 17 years. I am a graduate of St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree. I have taken numerous advanced courses in choral and instrumental conducting and am also Level 1 and 2 certified through TI:ME and the MusicTip program. I play the French Horn as a freelance musican and private teacher. I am also the director of a children's theater group, Dunedin Showcase Kids Theater, and have directed kids theater and musicals for the past 25 years. I also do some acting and directing in the adult theater in Dunedin. I am a strong advocate of arts integration and works hard to combine music and drama with as many subjects as possible to help my students to learn to appreciate music and the world around them.
